If accepted, what expenses are involved for choirs?
Choirs from outside of the United States are responsible for making all travel arrangements to and from Missoula. Once here, food and lodging, as well as local transportation is provided by host families during Festival week. International choirs must make their own arrangements for sightseeing trips or travel that is not a part of the Choral Festival.

Choirs from the United States must pay their travel expenses to and from Missoula, as well as making arrangements for lodging and some meals. American choirs are, of course, invited to participate in all official Choral Festival social functions at no charge.

If accepted, how many concerts can we expect to perform?
All choirs will perform (4) 30-minute concerts, as well as take part in the final Gala Performance. During the final concert, each choir will sing one selection (5-minute time limit), after which all singers will combine to form a massed chorus for the finale. Additionally, choirs will be invited to sing a 25 minute program at the Preview Concerts on Wednesday, July 15.

Does the International Choral Festival arrange other concerts during our time in the United States?
The ICF can sometimes establish a limited number of concerts for a choir either before or after Festival week. These arrangments depend on the availability of host communities, as well as the timing and distance involved. Such concerts are established on a case-by-case basis, and interested choirs are encouraged to express their interest in such outreach as far in advance of the Festival as possible. Grant money is sometimes available to help defray costs for outreach concerts in Montana; however, it may be the responsibility of the choir to fund their travel and other expenses of Montana outreach concerts. It is important to note if the choir wishes to perform in cities outside of Montana, that it is always the choir's responsibility to arrange and pay for all expenses associated any such concerts.

How will I meet my host family once I arrive in Missoula?
The Missoula Children's Theatre at 200 Adams Street will serve as the Headquarters for the Choral Festival during Festival week. Choirs will meet their host families here. If you arrive in Missoula by air, our Welcoming Committee will meet you at the airport and will escort you to your assigned coach. You will then be transported to the Missoula Children's Theatre, where your host families will be waiting. If you arrive by ground, your tour leader will be instructed to take you directly to the Missoula Children's Theatre upon arrival.

What will be our schedule during the week of the Choral Festival?
Your tour leader will be given updated information regarding your schedule prior to your arrival. When you register upon arrival, each singer will be given a complete schedule of events. The most current concert schedule will be available on our website.

What transportation arrangements will be made for me during the Choral Festival?
If you are staying with host families, then they will transport you to all necessary places during the week. U.S. choirs will be transported to and from the airport, and to and from all concert and official social event venues.

Are there any concerts on Sunday?
There are no public concerts on this day. Often, choirs make prior arrangements to sing as part of a church service, however participation in these services is not an official part of the International Choral Festival. Please check with your tour leader to enquire as to your choir's plans for this day.

Why is Sunday considered part of the Choral Festival on the schedule?
On Sunday afternoon all choirs, directors, and host families are treated to a private social function. This meal allows the choirs to say their farewells and marks the official close to the Choral Festival.
